Insurance & Billing
New Patients
New Patients with no insurance are required to make a $250.00 payment on the day of their visit.
At Visalia Medical Clinic, we do whatever we can to accommodate our patients and their medical needs. That includes contracting with insurance companies to ensure payment of medical services.
Private Pay
New patients not covered by our contracted insurance carriers are required to pay services when they are rendered. A deposit of $250 is requested on the day of their visit.
Insurance
Medicare and several other insurance plans are filed automatically by the clinic when the proper information is provided. The patient is expected to pay all co-payments and services not covered by insurance at the time of service. As a courtesy to our patients, we file a claim if the coverage is through one of our non-contracted insurance companies. Our Patient Representatives are available to assist with billing and insurance questions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 559-741-2160
Car/Home Injuries
An injury resulting from an accident (auto, home, etc.) is usually covered by insurance other than your health care carrier and should be billed to that liability carrier. We will be happy to assist you with that billing. You will also be required to make a minimum payment of $100 each time you come in for services. The clinic does not accept a lien for charges connected with an accident. A statement of your account will be prepared and mailed to you on a monthly basis, when there is a patient responsibility portion due.
