One of the most vital services we provide to our community is our Emergency Department. White Memorial Medical Center’s Emergency Department is staffed around the clock to cope with any major illness or injury that may confront you or members of your family. Our physicians, allied health providers, nurses, and staff are specially trained in the field of emergency medicine. Using highly sophisticated equipment and skill, we are able to deliver the highest degree of care needed for our emergency patients. Our specialty certifications include, STEMI (for heart attacks) Cardiac Emergency Services, Stroke and EDAP (emergency department approved for pediatrics.) We combine technology and compassion to treat more than 40,000 patients a year. Our commitment is always to provide excellent medical care to our patients. In February of 2011, we introduced a new front-end treatment process by increasing nursing, ancillary and medical provider staff in triage to speed the process of being seen and treated.
