Community Benefit

Adventist Health’s mission statement of Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope is coupled with a vision to transform the health experience of our communities through collaborative programs, community investments and community outreach. We are inspired by the healing ministry as represented by the life of Jesus Christ and believe we are called to live out our mission intentionally in the communities we serve. In the small towns, suburbs and inner cities we serve, we continue our journey to provide quality healthcare until every person made in God’s image has experienced the best health today, hope for tomorrow, and God’s love that endures forever.

In 2017, Adventist Health St. Helena provided more than 26 surgeries for the underserved. These surgeries were brought to us through our community partners including Pacific Union College and Operation Access, an organization that facilities surgical services for those in need throughout Napa County.

Adventist Health St. Helena also brought in three new providers to expand access to mental health services in Napa and Solano County. In addition, we added a new behavioral wellness center in Solano county to support those with mental conditions with access to an intensive outpatient program led by Dr. Sarah Bennington.

Adventist Health St. Helena proudly supported St. Helena Unified School District in development of their wellness program. More than 350 children participated in a day that focused on being healthy in mind, body and spirit. Some of the activities included learning about healthy snacks, exercise and staying hydrated.

community members at event Adventist Health St. Helena's Martin O'Neil Cancer Center is a proud sponsor of the Zero Prostate Cancer Napa Valley, where a team of staff members, physicians and community members participate in walk/run. All proceeds provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and education for men and families about prostate cancer.
