Adventist Health Rapid Care opens in Tulare

News

Access to quick medical care has increased in Tulare with the grand opening of Adventist Health Rapid Care. A service of Adventist Health Physicians Network, the new office began caring for patients on August 10, 2020.

The expert team of providers treat a wide range of medical conditions, including the flu, minor cuts and burns, sprains and strains and colds and sore throats. In addition to in-person care, Rapid Care Tulare also offers virtual visits, which allows patients to consult with a provider from the comfort of their home using a phone, tablet or computer.

“We are honored to expand our Rapid Care services to the Tulare community and provide patients with a fast and convenient resource for medical care,” says Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health services in the Central Valley, which includes hospitals in Hanford, Reedley, Selma and Tulare, as well as medical offices in 25 communities throughout the region.

Rapid Care medical offices are designed to treat patients with urgent, non-critical needs that require timely attention, but do not pose an immediate health threat. These additional care options help alleviate the load on hospital emergency departments, leaving those services available for the most critically ill and injured patients. Conditions that may cause permanent damage or may be life-threatening should be treated at a hospital emergency department.

“Our hope is to provide the Tulare community with care for any and all ailments they may encounter,” says Kofl. “Whether it be emergency services at Adventist Health Tulare, specialty care at our Adventist Health Physicians Network offices or quick treatment at Rapid Care Tulare, our teams remain dedicated to the health and well-being of Tulare residents.”

A more than $400,000 investment, Rapid Care Tulare is the latest sign of Adventist Health’s growth in Tulare. Less than two years ago, Adventist Health reopened the community hospital and has since actively introduced new resources and services through multiple expansion projects.
