News

RIVERDALE – Adventist Health Medical Office – Riverdale is pleased to welcome board-certified family nurse practitioner Christine King, MSN, FNP-C, to its medical staff. She provides wellness checks, physicals, chronic disease management, pediatric care, sick visits and health evaluations.

“My philosophy about how I practice is based upon patient-centered care and independence,” she said. “It’s important to me that patients understand their illness and how their compliance with medications, diet and self-care allows them to take control over chronic illness.”

King earned her master’s degree in nursing as part of the family nurse practitioner program at California State University, Fresno, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Graduate of Distinction Award. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Pacific Union College, graduating magna cum laude. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

As a nurse for more than 20 years, working with patients continues to inspire her. “I love when patients feel happy to come see me and leave feeling engaged and cared for.”

When not caring for patients, King enjoys spending time with her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, and their three children and granddaughter. Other interests include gardening, traveling and helping those in need.

King is accepting new patients and may be reached at Adventist Health Medical Office – Riverdale, located at 3567 W. Mt. Whitney Dr., in Riverdale. More information and appointments are available by calling 559-867-7200.
