Adventist Health Sonora is pleased to welcome Kyi Kyi Thwin Win, MD, who has joined the hospital’s medical staff. For more than 20 years, Win has cared for patients with a range of medical conditions and needs. She specializes in women’s health, geriatric medicine and chronic disease management.

Win is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residencies at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California and the University of Connecticut in Farmington. She earned her medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Drew School of Medicine and majored in biology at California State University, Los Angeles.

After volunteering in a faith-based nursing home as a college freshman, Win knew she had found her calling. “I quickly realized medicine and religion are professions that fit together perfectly. Medicine has become my mission, my heart and soul,” she says.

Win is an active community volunteer and supports many causes, including the arts, Meals on Wheels and Rebuilding Together. She and her husband, James, are the parents of two children. Their daughter, Tamara, serves in the Peace Corps, providing care and services to residents of Guyana; and their son, Jason, is a sound engineer with iHeart Radio.

Win is accepting new patients and may be reached at the Health Pavilion Primary Care office, located at 900 Mono Way, in Sonora. More information and appointments are available by calling (209) 536-6900.
