News

KERMAN – In addition to family medicine services, Sana Rezai, MD, is now providing certified physical exams to commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers at Adventist Health Medical Office – Kerman. Dr. Rezai has received a specialized licensed through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, which allows him to perform physical exams that test vision, hearing, blood pressure and sugar levels, as well as determine stress endurance and drug use.

The California Department of Transportation (DOT) requires all CMV drivers to pass this federally mandated physical exam. Results are valid for up to 24 months, but the time frame may be shortened if serious health conditions are discovered.

As the only certified DOT medical examiner in west Fresno County, Rezai provides CMV drivers in Kerman and surrounding communities with same-day certification.

“Professional drivers may visit our office, take the exam and walk out the door with their results in hand,” says Rezai. “Qualified drivers may rest assured that they’ll be back on the road without interruptions to their work.”

Rezai has a medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Ill. He completed his residency training at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
