Health advocate available to women in Orange Cove

News

Women in Orange Cove and the surrounding communities now have the services of a health advocate available to them at Adventist Health Medical Office – Orange Cove. Family nurse practitioner Simran Kaur-Gill brings expertise and a passion to educate local women about taking a proactive approach to improve their health.

“As women transition into various stages of life, their healthcare needs may change – but their need for quality care does not,” Kaur-Gill says. “We want women in our community to feel empowered and confident to take control of their health, no matter their age.”

From adolescence to menopause and beyond, women’s health services address an array of issues, including breast health, bone health, disease prevention and obstetrics and gynecology. Kaur-Gill aims to be a resource for women who may not have access to women’s health education.

“We understand health resources may be limited in rural communities, and our goal is to alleviate any gaps in Orange Cove,” she says. “We want women and their families to have all the tools they need to live their healthiest lives possible.”

Kaur-Gill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from National University, Fresno and completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Practitioner Program at National University, Costa Mesa. Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she specializes in family medicine and offers patients wellness checks, chronic disease management, preventative medicine and sports physicals, among other service.

Kaur-Gill is welcoming new patients at Adventist Health Medical Office – Orange Cove, 1455 Park Blvd., in Orange Cove. Appointments may be scheduled by phone at 559-626-0882. Additional information may be found online at OrangeCoveCare.com.
