Christopher “Chris” Richardson, DO, has joined the team at Adventist Health Medical Office – Riverdale, where he will fulfill the role of medical director. After earning three undergraduate degrees at East Carolina University in Greenville, Richardson earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va., graduating with honors. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Richardson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics, and is involved in many professional organizations, serving on the peer review committee of the Society of General Internal Medicine.

A dedicated volunteer, he has traveled on medical missions to provide care to underserved populations in countries such as Honduras, Haiti and Dominican Republic.

When not caring for patients, Richardson enjoys spending time with his wife and their three pets. Other interests including hiking, kayaking and playing drums in a small rock band formed with friends in Oregon.
