New podiatrist joins Adventist Health

News

Adventist Health is pleased to welcome podiatrist Juan C. Martinez, DPM, to its medical office in Hanford. In addition to podiatry, Dr. Martinez provides foot and ankle surgery. He cares for patients with a variety of conditions, including diabetic foot examinations and care, wound care, infections, limb salvage, reconstructions and foot and ankle injuries.

“I went through many foot and ankle injuries growing up, and I feel a deep sense of connection for those dealing with these types of issues,” says Dr. Martinez for his desire to become a podiatrist. “It may seem subtle, but when a person has issues with their foot or ankle, their life is significantly affected. Being able to help people return to work and recreational activities is very fulfilling.”

A graduate of New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, Martinez also earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating, cum laude, from Utah Valley University in Orem. He completed a three-year residency program at Heritage Valley Health Systems in Beaver, Penn., where he served as chief resident.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, along with hiking, camping and running. Martinez is fluent in English and Spanish.

He is accepting new patients at Adventist Health Medical Office – Hanford Specialty, 1025 N. Douty St., Third Floor, with a phone number of 559-537-0170. Dr. Martinez also cares for patients at Adventist Health medical offices in Fowler and Selma. For more information, visit www.AdventistHealth.org/JuanMartinezDPM.
