Adventist Health Medical Office – Oakhurst welcomes physician assistant to medical staff

OAKHURST – Board-certified Physician Assistant Kevin Violette, PA-C, is now caring for patients at Adventist Health Medical Office – Oakhurst. Violette provides family medicine services such as well-care visits, health-risk assessments, screenings, vaccinations, well-child check-ups, and school and sports physicals. He also has a special interest in treating those with diabetes and hypertension.

Violette earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Preventative care is the focus of Violette’s medical practice. He works collaboratively with patients to help them achieve their goals in a supportive, judgement-free environment. His approach is to ask patients where they want to be physically and then help them make the lifestyle changes necessary to do so.

Violette is an active volunteer with many nonprofit organizations. A few he has supported include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics, drug rehabilitation programs, and in other roles providing medical care to underserved communities.

When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time in nature, particularly camping and hiking. Other interests include photography and live music.
