March 9, 2021 (Sonora, Calif.) – Adventist Health Sonora is proud to welcome Lincoln Maynes, MD, a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon specializing in robotic surgery with an emphasis in urologic cancers.

Having provided hundreds of minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures to treat a variety of urologic concerns, including over 700 robotic-assisted surgeries, Dr. Maynes brings a wealth of experience and is utilizing Adventist Health Sonora’s da Vinci surgical system to offer robotic-assisted surgery for eligible patients.

Caring for both male and female adult patients, Dr. Maynes provides evaluation and treatment for bladder, kidney, prostate, testicular and ureteral cancers, as well as enlarged prostate, difficulty or pain with urination, overactive bladder, kidney stones, bladder stones, and other urinary complaints.

“God has blessed me with the love and desire to take care of others,” Dr. Maynes explains. “I gain satisfaction from helping patients solve urologic problems that have affected their quality of life.”

For over 13 years, prior to moving to Sonora, Dr. Maynes cared for patients at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center, in Riverside, Calif. In 2007, he completed his fellowship in Endourology, Robotic and minimally invasive surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. He completed residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center and earned his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Mass.

While growing up in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dr. Maynes was mentored by a local general surgeon who inspired him to serve others as a man of God, family man and physician. Following the advice and example of his early mentor, Dr. Maynes has served on medical missions and remains dedicated to mentoring youth, young adults and medical students. In his time away from patient care, Dr. Maynes enjoys spending time with his wife of over 25 years and their two sons, being outdoors and gardening.

Dr. Maynes is now welcoming new patients at Adventist Health Sonora Urology, located at 690 Guzzi Lane, Suite B, in Sonora. More information and appointments are available by calling (209) 536-5757.
