Adventist Health Portland Named High Performing by U.S. News and World Report

News, Awards & Recognition

U.S. News and World Report has named Adventist Health Portland High Performing in seven clinical areas. These include lung cancer surgery, pneumonia, back surgery and kidney failure as well as three areas in Northwest Regional Heart & Vascular’s program: heart failure, aortic valve surgery and heart attack.

Each clinical area is graded based on specific data points that range from patient outcomes and volume to length of stay and advanced programs. Depending on the category, the report also evaluates how often patients are discharged to home instead of another facility.

More than 6,000 hospitals were evaluated. Hospitals that earned a High Performing rating were significantly better than the national average.
