3D mammography

Successful treatment of breast cancer is often linked to early diagnosis, which is way mammography screening is recommended every year for women who are 40 or older.

Tomosynthesis or “3D” mammography is a new type of FDA approved technology that creates 2 and 3D pictures of the breasts from different angles. 3D Mammography is especially useful in examining dense breasts and can improve the radiologist’s ability to find breast cancer and offers these advantages:

  • Reduces the rate of false positive readings
  • Ensures that fewer women need to come back for another mammogram
  • Reduces the need for a biopsy
  • Enables the physician to more accurately locate where there is abnormality

Digital mammography

Our all-digital mammogram creates a digital image that can be manipulated in ways that improve resolution and contrast. The clearer image improves interpretation, making it easier to view dense breast tissue and small tumors, and often eliminates the need for additional follow-up imaging.

Stereotactic breast biopsy

A minimally invasive breast biopsy imaging system that helps doctors make a more accurate diagnosis. Using computer-generated images to locate breast abnormalities, the physician can accurately pinpoint and map the area to biopsy without making large incisions.

QDR bone densitometry

The role of this procedure is to diagnose osteoporosis or to be a follow up for patients who have been treated for osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a serious medical condition resulting from loss of bone mineral content. Patients with osteoporosis are at high risk for fractures of the spine and hip.

Designated patient navigator

If you are diagnosed with breast disease, we provide experienced professional help to guide you and your loved ones through the process. You navigator will coordinate your care and oversee any necessary tests, treatments and follow up care prescribed by your team of health specialists.
