You’re made for more. More milestones. More accomplishments. More healthy years with the people you love. That’s why Adventist Health Sonora is celebrating American Heart Month and promoting healthy lifestyles and cardiovascular treatment options throughout the month of February.
Heart Month is a great time to focus on everything that makes your heart happy. Check back often as we post more details and opportunities to participate in several Heart Month activities.
Heart Walk at the Health Pavilion and Diana J. White Cancer Institute
Thursday, February 1 at noon
Get Heart Month started off right with a one mile walk where you can pick
up a free t-shirt and Heart Month walking log. Complete your walking log
and turn it in on February 29 at our walk through downtown Sonora for
a chance to claim a small gift and be entered in a grand prize drawing.
National Wear Red Day
Friday, February 2
Wear your Heart Month t-shirt or your favorite red outfit to show off on
National Wear Red Day and help raise awareness about heart disease in women!
Heart Fest
Thursday, February 8
Attend our Heart Health event! Join us at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds where
daytime exhibits will be catered to school groups and families. Students
can learn all about the heart and cardiovascular system with educational
exhibits, fitness fun and healthy snacks. The evening events will cater
to adults with a cardiologist lecture, free heart-healthy meal, educational
exhibits and blood pressure screenings.

Lunch and Learn
Thursday, February 22
Enjoy a heart healthy lunch and learn about some of the latest advances
in heart care from our cardiovascular team.

Heart Walk at Courthouse Square
Thursday, February 29 at noon
Join us for our final event of Heart Month to turn in your walking log
and receive a small gift. You’ll also be entered in a drawing for
the grand prize! Then walk around town and visit our local businesses,
many of which will be decorated for Heart Month.
